Baylands Nature Preserve – Picnic Venue in the San Francisco Bay Area
Flanked by Stanford University, the birth place of well-known corporations and closely associated with Silicon Valley, is Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve. A dream harbored in the mid 1920’s to 1930’s became manifest in the 1960’s with the purchase of 40 acres of marshlands.
As the south border runs parallel with the Santa Cruz Mountains, the north border overlooks the San Francisco Bay and thus Palo Alto Baylands presents an experience to one who appreciates the outdoors. The Baylands have much to offer and the scenery is some of the most beautiful in all creation.
Consider Baylands Nature Preserve as a venue for the next corporate BBQ or celebratory event with the shade of some of the most beautiful Redwood trees ever grown. If you’re keen to play a round of golf, walk the trails, witness nature in all it’s ultimate glory, this gorgeous paradise is relaxation and restoration with a capital R for your whole organization. In fact, given that only a few miles in the other direction is one of the busiest highways in the United States, this pocket of natural wonderland is a haven for those who enjoy the sounds of silence.
Baylands Nature Preserve is one of the largest regions of uninterrupted marshlands remaining on the San Francisco Bay. Te trails are flat and wheelchair friendly, you’ll enjoy a seamless walk and if you’re a ecosystem is working well.
The picnic areas are available will cater for large groups. However, if you would like a more intimate venue, a small picnic area can be located next to the ranger station. Four picnic tables with charcoal barbecues are available. We can help you with activities and entertainment.
